Synopsis of Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a 2018 social drama film starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Divyendu Sharma. Nauti, SK and Tripathi are childhood friends. Their lives take a tragic turn when Tripathi’s new business is slammed with an inflated electricity bill running into lakhs of rupees. Upon failing to get any help or resolution, Tripathi decides to commit suicide. SK drags the electricity company to court and seeks justice for his friend and the many other victims who suffer at the hands of corrupt private companies.
